South Central Texas Region

The South Central Texas Region includes counties that are located in whole or in part in the Rio Grande, Nueces, San Antonio, Guadalupe, Colorado, and Lavaca River Basins, and the Colorado-Lavaca, Lavaca-Guadalupe, and San Antonio-Nueces coastal basins (Regional Map - Basins). The physical terrain of the region ranges from the Hill Country of the Edwards Plateau to the Coastal Plains. A general description of the region, including geology, climate, water resources, vegatational areas, major water demand centers, and interactive maps is available in this section.
