Listed Endangered Species and Recommended Water Management Strategies in the 2006 South Central Texas Regional Water Plan

Draft 9/29/2008

The technical evaluation of each potentially feasible water management strategy recommended for implementation in the 2006 South Central Texas (Region L) Regional Water Plan includes the identification of both federal and state listed endangered and threatened species, and other rare species that may be affected.

Using geographical and biological information available from the regional water plan, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Natural Diversity Database, and other sources, this graphical interface has been prepared to facilitate the recognition of listed endangered species and their habitats which may be affected by the recommended water management strategies.

Please select a general geographical area of interest from the map of Region L shown below and a more detailed sub-regional map will appear which contains endangered species icons and recommended strategies specific to each area. Selection of any endangered species icon from the sub-regional map will provide specific information of interest for that particular species.
